If you guys remember, two and a half years ago, I adopted a 3rd dog, we named him Boe. He's not exactly what I wanted, but he's a very nice dog. He was 6 and a half then, so he's 9ish now. He is also a dog on springs. He is very hyper, drives the old dogs a bit crazy too. He also loves his toys. Mostly to death he loves them. The other night he pulled one of the toys out of the pile I made of them and brought it over to the roomie. However, she wasn't feeling too good after having her tube "flushed" earlier that day. He brought it over to me, but I had just washed my hands in expectation of pouring hot water to make tea and didn't want to get dirty dog toy on my hands. If we weren't going to play with him, he'd play with himself. He started shaking it and letting it fly around. Okay... and then he shook it and it flew up onto the counter top, right next to those mugs we were going to be putting that hot water in. Nearly knocking the one mug over! I had to take the toy off the top of the range, where it had landed and tossed it back on the pile. I figured he might get the message that we weren't going to play. And then I had to wash my hands, again. I don't really mind washing my hands, you understand, but... He actually got the message and didn't pull it out again.

It's good to read that you wash your hands. I know dog owners who don't.
