How to start job using freelancer?

India

I'm very new to this freelancer. I filled up all the details but it seems to be very confusing to me. How do we actually start getting hired? Do they really prefer to hire new job seekers? Are there any settings or kind of stuff i need to make a note of! Can anyone explain?

Hello, First of all, Freelancer.in is quite competitive with over 20 million members. Getting a job there will not be easy. In order to get hired, you will have to select the projects in which you're interested and then bid on the projects. If the employer likes your bid, they'll connect with you and hire you. Now, in order to get hired, there are 2 things which are important: 1. The bid you present must be professional, so that the employer gets to know that you're not a time waster. 2. The timing of the bid. Timing is important because if you're bidding on a project that was posted a couple weeks ago, chances are that they've already got someone. So, always try to bid on the newer projects. As far as hiring freshers is concerned, there are many who would like to give chance to a fresher. The pay might be less at first, but as you grow, the pay grows too. Apart from using Freelancer, I would suggest you to use (mainly for Indians, less competitive than Freelancer). Also, be a part of Facebook Groups dedicated to article writing and freelancing and use LinkedIn to pitch more clients. I hope this helps you!! Thanks :)
