So the other day, when I wasn't on myLot very much we had to pull up all the tomato plants as it was going to freeze. So as you can see I have a bunch of green tomatoes!!
I ended up with 2 wheelbarrows full!!! Any one want any green fried tomatoes? Also had to pull up the last of the hubby's hot peppers.
Today I'll be on and off the site as I will be busy making hot pepper salsa. I'll also be breading up green tomatoes to freeze. Nothing like eating green fried tomatoes year long!!

Yes, @paigea mine will probably all ripen up before I finally get to them!!
But got all the peppers processed today and two loaves of bread made. So hopefully tomorrow I can get started breading and freezing the green tomatoes!!

@1creekgirl I bread them with eggs and flour. Place them on a cookie sheet and freeze them, then put them in baggies. Then when we want some green fried tomatoes we just pull them out and fry them or bake them.

@1creekgirl , it works best if you double bread them before you freeze them. I don't let them thaw all the way, otherwise they will be mushy.

@STOUTjodee After you take them out of the freezer, do you thaw them? Do you egg and bread them again?

Wow that's a lot! Why not? I would like to taste how you do it, we have lots of tomatoes here but it's mostly for sautéing anything combined with onions, garlic and at times ginger

We've been sauteing them as well, but 2 wheelbarrows is a lot of sauteing!!
They're ripening up nicely though.
