Thinking of getting a record player. What are your thoughts?

I have been throwing around the ideal of getting a record player. I know I know you might be thinking why would anyone get a record player. Well I can get boxes and boxes of records from antique shops for next to nothing....Most records probably have not been played since 60s, 70s, or maybe if they were lucky 80's.... Think about that....and yes I know that records do not have thoughts or feelings....however imagine being stuck in a box for close to 30-40 years not being able to do what you were made to do....entertain people.....Then someone pulls you out and plays you and you are able to do what you were made to do. Who knows I might find some music that has been totally forgotten about... What are your thoughts?

Here is India. Not many people invest in vintage items.

@bryan21764 also, if you're interested in sound there is another member here who restores old wooden speakers...maybe wooden speakers isn't the correct description but here is another link.

You are speaking of a player for vinyl? They say the best sound comes from vinyl. I have a vinyl player because I am an old person with many vinyl records.

@bryan21764 Go for it. Small investment and as you say, you can buy used vinyl cheap.

I think it is a good idea. My grandmother still has one and the last time we were all at her house she got it out with the records that she still has for it.
