Should the Bruins trade for a solid veteran goaltender ?

Hello, fellow Bruin fan! If Hannu can't pull the reins as our number one goalie the next couple of months, then I might consider wanting to trade for a number one goalie. Right now, Thomas is doing well and we may as well keep going with him until he cools off (the other night against Montreal might be a good sign he needs a break). Honestly, I think the Bruins need to waive York. He's the weakest link on the team, and the fact that Jurcina is the one who will ride the pine while York plays and is a defensive liability out there night after night just disgusts me. Lewis is hampering Jurcina's development playing York (and Dempsey, while he was with the club) over him. Alberts also needs to improve his game. Time to bring Ray Bourque back as the defense coach again?

joey mcdonald was looking pretty solid at the end of the season when they brought him up from providance. i think goaltending is somewhat of a problem for boston, but i think more importantly is the offense. with the way the nhl has changed since the lockout, i think that games are won on offense. I wholeheartedly agree with lewis' strategy with building a team from the net on out, but players like bergeron and axelson really need to step up their game. bergeron is such a great player and i really think he's got the potential to be a 50 goal scorer one day. Kessel is such a great skater, but he can't put the puck in the net to save his life. i'm not worried about the bruins. i'm sure they'll make the playoffs next season

A lot of goal-tending is really dependent upon the defencemen in front of him. I think the whole team needs to get a little stronger and work better together. THEN we can complain about the goal-tending!

I really think tim thomas is a great goaltender. He just needs a stronger team to play infront of him. They could use another good goaltender. the hedburg lehtonnen tandem in atlanta seems to be a pretty good one. if they can lock in a solid backup, then i think they'll be good
