Mike Wells of ESPN.com reports the news on Thursday that Terricka Cromartie who is thw wife of former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Antonio Cromartie who was terminated by the Colts on October 4, 2016 was due to his stance not take a knee during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner during the last two games the Colts played against the San Diego Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars game that was played in London England to protest police brutality and racial oppression. Colts Jim Irsay had placed a post on the internet that the protests of several football players at football games was hurting the business of football. Irsay in a nutshell said in his post that football players are basically entertainers and should keep their protests in another venue besides a football stadium. Irsay did take the post down from the internet. Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was interviewed the next day about releasing Cromartie. Pagano insisted that Cromartie was terminated since his play on the field was not helping his team win football games. What Pagano did not reveal was that if Irsay ordered him to terminate Cromartie or not. Cromartie was the only player on the Colts team to issue his protest. You make the call.
