~Unexpected Plans~

Good morning! I hope you are having a wonderful morning so far. =) My plan for the day was going to be home schooling my kids and Mylotting. I cleaned the house yesterday so I didn't have to do it today. My friend text me this morning asking if I could babysit for her today. Her kids are off school and she has an appointment today. I told her yes of course. Now we will have to do home school once they leave because they would get bored fast if my kids couldn't play with them. Ugh. I really wanted to get school work done early but the kids are here so it will have to be a late day...Oh well. Good thing home schooling is flexible! Unexpected plans just drive me a little crazy at times, I like planning ahead for things... The picture is of my girls making jello yesterday. =)

I can understand very well that unexpected plans upset you. I also like to plan and I hate when I have to change my plans.

I like planning too but being able to be flexible with the homeschooling is probably a good thing so your kids can entertain those you are watching. Cute pic of your girls making their jello

Nice that you have this flexibility. I slept in. Had a busy week with nurses out every day and the doctor's appointment. Makes me tired.

Wow, your mentioning of Jell-O has brought back some fond memories of my childhood! My grandma and brother and I used to make homemade Jell-O when we would go visit and stay with her on weekends! I always loved spending time with my grandma!

@LovingMyBabies One of our big family "kitchen" annual traditions will take place in December. The kids and I will spend a day making homemade sugar cookies and custom decorating them all with icing and sprinkles. We make several hundred cookies because we give a dozen to every one of our family members for the holidays. It takes us a full day to do it, and we make the biggest mess ever, but it's still one of the funnest things we do together as a family!

You've got the same sort of cooker to me. I hate it Much prefer a nice gas hob Just wondered with all this home schooling and child care etc, do you ever feel like getting a job outside the home...for a company?

@LovingMyBabies not that i'm saying you haven't got a job I just meant do you ever feel you'd like a work life outside the home...not for financial reasons as such.

@Mike197602 I used to work but I really don't miss it much. When I worked I missed my kids more than anything in the world.

Sometimes, these things happen. So long as they get it done, that's the important thing. It can be good for them to play with other kids.

Do you teach cooking in your home schooling. You can teach them so many neat things.

@jstory07 Oh yes! They love helping me cook. We don't do anything too extreme because it's hot and dangerous but they help mix the ingredients and such. Tomorrow their helping make daddy's cake! =)
