RIVER WITH ICE WATER

I crossed a river with icy cold water, I did not realize this is a river when the snow melts from the hills it flows into this river. My husband did not know because I waited for him to walk away then I crossed. Oh my God what an experience, center of the river was a little deeper but I pretended everything was alright. When we returned to our room, I got high temperature and both my legs were icy cold. Then I get the shouting why did you do that it was so dangerous to cross a river without knowing it.
