I have been reading lot of post here. Some saying they do not know what to write.
Very hard to believe this. But we do have a story to tell.
For me I have a story to tell.
I was born in the Great Depression. My parent's were immigrant coming from Italy.
During the depression years. My dad worked at a loom factory.
He did his very best to support his family.Nine kids that we had.
As I was growing up and remember on a weekly basis when he came home with a pay check. He was not very easy with his money sort of tight.
Thursday was pay day.I knew this.He will give me a nickel.
I was so happy.Took the nickel and went to the neighbor hood store
I bought a candy bar like I normally do.
Guess what the name of the candy bar.Pay Day.now that is a story I came up with and you can do the same.
To this day.I still buy Pay day candy bar if I can find it
This is my story.

That's a cute story, I know that those that come over from the old country worked very hard to give their families a better life.
I can remember my Dad giving us 2 quarters as kids for our weekly allowance, and although my brothers had a lot of chores to do to earn that money, I only had to dry the dishes.
We don't have payday chocolate bars in Canada, I'll bet that you didn't know that did you?

@amadeo A movie about an Italian immigrant family experiencing hard times during the depression. A dad doing his best to support his family and a mom taking care of the kids in a new country. You are the first generation Italian American growing up.

That was an interesting story. Mine will have to be condensed into several chapters.

That many kids would be hard to support. But at least you had a father that worked and supported his family.

I love Payday's. Unfortunately, I can't have them anymore, since my girlfriend is allergic to peanuts.

My parents had a business and I worked there while growing up and hated it and to get my money was very hard too. Yes, everyone has a story but not everyone wants to share it with all.
