Good morning.resting up for my appointment with oncologist have you ever or ever attend a pig roast? Pig roast is pretty big here and Maine. I detest pig roast and hate to see this happening. It is very disgusting. We have been invited so many times.Keep telling them we do not attend this type of torture of the pig. Some got furious and some understand. There a place in Maine that specialize this sort of barbaric feast. It is pretty huge there and the business is good so I heard.

Do you eat bacon or pork chops or barbecued pork ribs or pork tenderloin? Why is a pig roast different? The hogs are killed either way.

@Mike197602 Oh definitely. On the other website that we don't mention here (Bubblews) I posted a discussion about vegetarianism and attached a link to a Morrissey gig I'd just been to. The particular song was Meat is Murder and there was a huge video screen at the back of the stage playing videos from abattoirs. I had a number of comments along the lines of 'well I'd rather not know about that thank you'. The interesting thing was the reaction at the gig. A lot of people just couldn't lift their heads to look at the stage. Some were in tears and the rest just seemed very quiet and thoughtful. As I said to Mrs WorDazza after the gig I wonder how many of those who were in tears or couldn't watch would wake up in their hotels the following morning and have the full English breakfast?

@amadeo If you eat ham and bacon, that comes from a slaughtered pig.

@amadeo Two were family reunions and one was a high school reunion so I have to be there. I didn't mind it so much though. I never really paid much attention to the big roasting I was busy mingling among family and friends.

Hmm, three. I think. Or maybe four. I'm not a big fan of pork though. It's just going back to how people used to eat. One day we may have to eat like that again, once the apocalypse is upon us and food is scarce, electric and gas non-existent, etc. Lolz!

Yes. My mother's friend's husband actually cooked a pig for my graduation party. I will only eat it if my father or him cooks it because the majority of the time people don't know how to properly cook a pig.

I'm sorry, but yes, I have been to several pig roasts over the years. I look at it as an economical way to feed a large bunch. All of them that I've ever attended had a cook at the event that brought his roasting trailer and did all of the cooking and carving-and it was done to perfection. The host and hostess just did the rest of the meal and entertained.
