I was suppose to work 12 -4 pm today. Well i ended up leaving at 5:30pm instead. Yet, again they are doing nothing, and the head manager kept pushing to get truck done. I was doing the smaller items like treat boxes. Well he kept pushing to do big dog food bags. I thought he knows I was on vacation and I am sore. I also said I wasnt feeling well I was nauseous. I asked who was in that afternoon, of course the girl who whined she has to work and do truck. I thought wow so let her make minimum wage and NOT work yet I have to do it all yet again. The one girl was helping me, putting on a show as soon as he left, she dropped everything and walked away.

Next time you should leave when scheduled. Let them sort out the leftovers.

@ricki_911 Oh, it's great to have that work ethic, don't get me wrong. Problem is, it's easy for management to ignore the problems when they're not having to deal with them directly. In this case: the other employees aren't pulling their weight, but you're making sure the issues are dealt with so what they see is that you stayed late, not that you felt obligated to stay late because the others who were supposed to be working the truck weren't and things wouldn't get done. So... let them not get done. Check in with the manager when you leave and say something like "We're down to just X pallets of dog food to put away, [Name] should be able to handle the rest since I'm off now." And then if they wonder why it didn't get done, gee, you weren't there.

That is what my friend said to me. She said it is not up to you to make sure it gets done.

I know! They need a break from havingto do the truck for the week I am off, or they noticed I changed my availability for my new job.
