The oldest cat I've found

It was insane when I found this in you-tube about a cat they adopted back in the 90s and still alive to this day. Recently, he has reach the age 31 years old, which equivalent to 141 human years .The second oldest one was at least 25 years old, suffered stroke. I could never get my pets to reach this age, maybe I should start feeding my dog more vegetables. What do you think? how old is your pet?

I have never heard of a cat living to be 31 years old. His owner must be doing something right.

Most definitely @simone10 but I doubt I could have my dog live that long.

I am interested it looks like a Tabby as Freya is still so young for her age and kitten like. Maybe they are long livers.

I wish the vets had been interviewed for their own explanation @Jackalyn for them to be living this long. But I think it's a good that I start feeding my dog veggies.

That's really wonder how a cat lives so long years. Maybe the affection of his Bose and timely food helps him.

I only wish we humans could live that long @shshiju that's sad we could go as far as 60 to 90+ years

One of our cats lived to 18. I suspect it was because she was thin and a picky eater. Heavy cats are subjected to diabetes, etc. just as are humans.

Hello @DianneN Wow so even those fat cats don't tend to live long.

wow...i have always had dogs...they haven't lived more than 12 years. But that is so cool...reminds me of stories of shape shiftier humans that take form of animals and live more than the expected number of years.
