Whew! I Promised Myself

What did I promise myself? Well, I promised myself that no matter how busy my days are that I would get to mylot and write a post every day. So, here I am. It's a lot later than usual for me to be here as it's just 5 pm as I start to write this. Yesterday was blazing crazy. This sharing of a vehicle is no good. I ran across town 5 different times, including one of those times as my mom was released from the hospital. It was also bingo night at church. Today's also been blazing crazy. It was mom's pay day yesterday, but of course we didn't do any of the running with her just getting out of the hospital and having to pretty much come home to get ready for bingo night. The only thing I got done here on the computer prior to now was writing a blog post this morning. I had written the post yesterday in word so it should have been a quick post. It wasn't though as I couldn't find the pictures that I wanted to add to it! It was important for sure to get it done as it was a paid post. I'm confused though as they emailed me right back after I sent the link saying the money would be added to my account. I did check that before coming here and there is nothing showing in my account. While out I picked up some popcorn chicken to fix for supper along with some french fries that were already in the freezer. I should get in and get those into the oven. Open up a can of fruit and the kids will be happy. How has your Friday been? oh yes, I wanted to share another picture. This is the main top of the Lexington quilt. I still need to find the fabrics for the 2 borders. This is the pattern on a postcard that I bought while on the quilt shop hop.

It is beautiful. Glad to hear that your mom is out of the hospital. That is a lot of running around in one day. You must be exhausted.

I'm not sure that exhausted in the word for it. Last night once home I just couldn't stop yawning at all and my eyes were so tired. I'm sure that will hit here soon.

@Blondie2222 I'm noticing that my yucky lung stuff is much better today. I did douse myself on the chest last night with a sinus stick...maybe it helped.

For us here it's cold symptoms, mainly in the chest that we are having a problem with. Mine's been going on for 8 weeks though. I will see my doctor on Monday.

@marsha32 oh wow that's not good. I hope you can find out what's wrong and get on some antibiotics. I hate when I don't feel good.

Lovely quilt. Sorry things are so hectic. Sometimes getting online will relax me. Does it you?

My problem online is that I am truly trying to earn money on here. So, when time is short due to so many things away from the computer, I actually feel even more super stressed over my attempts to earn. On days when I get to actually stay home I can sit, relax, enjoy myself, and be happy that I have the time to get to most everything that I want to in a day on here.

@celticeagle With so many others "needing" me for things I don't know how to organize my time any differently than I already do. I'm such a multi-tasking person at all times.

The pattern shows using the lighter colors in the background. I really don't like using them either because they show dirt and stains so easily. Now you have me curious as to who this surprise visitor was. We had one, but they were trying to sell meats from a truck. LOL

@crazyhorseladycx If I see the "Bible thumpers" on the street I shut the curtains and don't answer even if they knock. They may mean well, but I have my own church and they don't like it when you tell them that. And, they still want to pile you with pamphlets.

And why do you choose to make just a post a day? Why not two or more?

Only a few times have I written more than one post in a day. There is enough to keep my busy here interacting in posts by others for the time I allot myself here each day.

@Jenning We earn for all interactions....or well, maybe it's the person we are interacting with that earns. Either way, both people win.

There are too many people at your house who need vehicles. Are you also helping Jasmine move?

The friend she is moving in with has a truck and no, we've not been asked to help. I'm so glad she will be inside the city limits again though!

Thanks. I like that you sew the rows together, then sub cut them to make the blocks instead of sewing each block individually.

I should do the same, write at least one post per day. I come here I start to go around and read the discussions and my time flies. Your quilt looks beautiful, which color would you pick up for the borders?

I actually have no idea what I want to do for the borders. Some solid color for the thin inner border, but what goes on the outer border I will look through my stash of larger pieces of fabrics as that takes 1 1/2 yards.

@marsha32 You need a lot of fabric, but I think that any color similar to those you used inside will be good.
