Cheating on my diet: new cookies.

A couple of weeks ago, after the dentist, I went to the supermarket to bring something for tea with my Tuesday friends. As I was checking breads, I came upon some sugarless chocolate chip cookies. I brought them home and as I did not want to serve my friends any awful thing, I tried them. Then I had another and another just to be sure I left 4 cookies for them. Yesterday I saw the cookies again and I bought them. After all, they don´t have sugar. Now I´m having my coffee with them. I just read some tiny letters that said "high in calories". And on reading more, I also found they had the bad saturated fat. Evil cookies! They are delicious!

I bought low-fat yoghurt the other day then discovered it was high in sugar. Seems it needs fat or sugar to be tasty.

I guess I´ll have to stick to the doctor´s list. Veggies, proteins, eggs. A bit of no fat bread.

Many unhealthy things taste good. Many healthy things taste bad or bland.

i think it's because less fat means more sugar, while less sugar means more fat, to make them taste good.

Probably. But I don´t reason when I talk about chocolate chip cookies. Normally I just avoid them.

What do they use for the sweetening agent?

@marguicha I have been reading about sugar-free products/recipes that are now using products that are from monk fruit, stevia, and other things. I have wondered about them.

@CoralLevang I have also read about them and not all are healthy as they seem. I´m glad that I am not so fond of sugar. I like other no-nos like salami and spanish chorizo

Cheating on a diet? Well, that is not so bad. Funny you called them evil and yet are delicious. I feel you on that note though.

I think I´d be back to health if I did all my doctors tell me to do. The thing is I can´t.
