Texas could turn its attention to Lofton as a one-year solution in center field following the departure of Gary Matthews Jr, the Dallas Morning News reports. In house options are pretty limited: Brad Wilkerson, minor-leaguer Freddy Guzman or right-fielder Nelson Cruz. "We talked about wanting a more conventional leadoff hitter in the order with speed, an ability to get on base and bat control," Texas GM Jon Daniels said. "If we find the right guy, we'll strike."
