Do you remember Apocalypse Now?

Go to YouTube now and watch it: We are entering a new era of international relations. I have noticed of recent television ads that a renewed recognition of veterans has been on the rise and that the Vietnam War being a war that took place in my teen age years, changed the lives of many baby boomers and some of my friends are from this era. Some are survivors of the Vietnam war. As we leave the Obama era of 8 years and enter into the year 2017 with new fears, new expectations under the changing of the guard, Trump 2017 will be, in my opinion, a dynamic turning point in America for the better or for the worse. The video clip from YouTube puts things into the right perspective. We are living on the brink of international turmoil. The evil doers are still out there and waiting to see if we want to come out and play, so to speak.

I remember watching this movie at the tender age of 10 via VHS tape. I was scarred for life because of all the corpses I saw. I know that movie is filmed in the Philippines.

Yes, the geographic location was excellent for the full realistic effect of this movie.

@lookatdesktop I think they filmed in the Philippines because Vietnam wont agree to film a movie that shows something negative about them. It did open my eyes about Vietnam war.

I never watched this movie. I will mention it to my husband and we could watch it together here soon.

It was violent, even by those days' standards. But I actually never watched it fully. I was busy playing outside and riding my bike with my friend. If I was a bit older at the time I would have watched this movie and the same could be said about my youth when I was not very interested in watching that current television show called, 'MASH' with Alan Alda. Then when I grew up and watched re-runs of this show it was hard to stop watching from that moment.
