My Top Ten Poco Songs: Too Many Nights Too Long (#1)

No, I didn't forget Poco. I can't forget Poco! My favorite band. I have all of their LPs (yes, I still have them on vinyl!!) and CD. Yeah, I'm obsessive that way, but there's no way to thank Poco enough for how much their music has met to me...so I just bought two copies of everything! Here's my favorite Poco song. #1: Too Many Nights Too Long Not exactly country in the sound, this has more of a Latin feel. Yeah, that might be me because of Timothy Schmit singing a verse in Spanish near the end of the song. But the story line is sure country: a man breaks out of jail ("it's time for busting out of this jail, get me a gun, no time for bail") and is on the run ("hiding in a cane break from a man I can't seem to shake"). Beautiful harmonies with Schmit and Paul Cotton. Great musicianship. If you ask me why I love Poco so much, this is the song I'm going to use to try to explain it. Thanks for reading.
