That moment when you accidentally 'x' out of the window (while doing a survey)

United States

Darn it! Well here's my rant for the evening and my fault for multi-tasking.. Once in a while, I 'accidentally' close out of the window while doing a survey. I was almost finished too! Survey I just existed out was from MintVine. Does this ever happen to you? I should multi-task a little more careful. I just click click to fast. Man............ I hate it when this happens.

I've backed out of the window in which I'm writing a discussion here. Not fun.

I have had that happen before and it really makes me mad. Because you do not get credit for the all most done survey.

No but it did happen to me while doing something else. I was mad at my browser for not asking me if I am sure that I want to close that window. That message only appears when more than one tab is opened (Microsoft edge).

Oh yeah... they should ask. I wonder if I can have a notification on that or not? I know it asks if I want to exit ALL the tabs but not for a single one.

@Madshadi Yeah that would be helpful. I need to look into settings. I never really have but I do make this mistake accidentally a few times..

@infatuatedbby yes maybe there could be something in the settings for that. If you use survey websites a lot then it would help

I am not a fan of surveys because you don't know how long it will be.. some are short you complete it 5-10 minutes some are even 30 up to a hour. averagely 10-15 minutes for me

@kevinakash If you find a site that pays for your country, won't be bad to earn extra money.

I also make this mistake sometimes I really hate myself But sometimes it can be redone anyway. For example, I use Firefox and Chrome, actually you can backup the window which you closed just now.

you should be careful next time... try using "ctrl + shift + t" if it works... it opens up the last tab you've just closed...

Yes, I will - thank you. I just tried that and it didn't work for me. Does it apply for Mac as well? Also - I think during survey if you exit out I don't think you can follow thru anymore (sometimes).

@Dextoi I am using Safari - any suggestions?

@Dextoi Thanks - I got it to work. I used the command + shift + t. I will try it next time when I accidentally exit to see if it works on surveys

That sucks as well. Or automatically disqualified when you're so far along in the survey! I hate when that happens too.
