Something to think on.

All the news about the popular vote vs the electoral college going on right now. I don't know how the reps will vote, and I do hope, this once, they vote with the popular vote, not the actual election results (but I doubt it). I can hope though right? I like the idea of tiered voting, this would give other 3rd party candidates more of a shot, and it would, I think, help fight the feeling that a vote for a 3rd party is being thrown away. We are going to see something come from what's going on right now, and I for the life of me am not entirely sure what that is going to be. It's certainly a time in history that is going to make it's mark on the history books, don't you think? Anyways, J wrote this, good read, please read, and if nothing else ponder on it.

Wow...well, thought of in depth ..foresight.. but hey, even the criminal gets a chance to prove he is not guilty, right? So let us wait if trump does have something he can use his Trumpet for.

Im currently watching the mess that is his takeover team, and how he keeps trying to give jobs to family that he legally is NOT allowed to do.

@Jessicalynnt .. Ah...he may not be aware of that...I mean giving jobs to family...bit...sometimes it is advantageous...issues can be discussed at home as well and everybody can give some input...

@Jessicalynnt Even his ex-wife is asking for a job now and what about his participation in the Wall Street Journal. He is not allowed to keep the shares when he becomes President. Let us see what he is going to do.

It sure will be an interesting thing for the history books. We want to change things why? It has been working well for 240 years. Why change it now. I agree with what FW said. Why screw up a good thing? I certainly hope this does not come to be. I don't like how things turned out but I certainly do not want to change something that basically makes our country strong. ‘For forms of government let fools contest That which is best administered is best,’ yet we may safely pronounce, that the true test of a good government is its aptitude and tendency to produce a good administration.” We have that aleady!

because it's not working. The popular vote proves it's not working. And it doesnt allow for third party candidates, I want to see tiered elections. if you could vote third party, knowing that you picked say third party, first, democrat 2nd etc, you might, knowing that if the third party didn't get it, your second pick would get your vote? deff a thing to ponder

Let me caution you that you DO NOT want this to happen. I will tell you why: it gives a message to every "loser" in every subsequent election that if he/she makes enough noise, rallies the troops, tries to change the rules after the fact, etc., he/she, too, can overrule the 240-year Constitution of the United States. That will, in effect, render all subsequent elections null and void.

eh, I think it would simply be a rally call that the electorial college is broken and needs an overhaul, the fact the popular vote shows it's not who the people want, the fact that less than half even vote (we need to do something like oregon, they had 80% odd vote), etc.

It will be interesting to see what is made of this fifty years from now. Unfortunately I'll never know but even in 10 years it might be interesting.
