Suddendeath poetry Challenge: Stuffed

Welcome to this weekend’s Suddendeath poetry challenge, Stuffed! Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other’s' poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: food, eat, stuffed, large, nap My entry is always, below: --------------------------------------------------------------------- I stuffed my face I won that race to who could nap first. So much food to eat so many people to meet, I think my tummy may burst. The bird was large, to my mouth the fork did charge, overeating I now curse!

To look upon you To see your lithe form Is food to the starved Is mana for my very soul The rise and fall Of your chest as you nap Is air to my own lungs Is blood to my own heart Then your eyes flutter Those large deep pools They consume me, eat me Draw me within your love For so long I was a scarecrow Aimless, stuffed with straw But now I live And breathe And love You

What an amazing use of the given words, and certainly another unique direction. I loved this.

Why thank you, but I did try to make it base enough that it could be used by those who don't celebrate the holiday

EATS Mister stuffed bull dog sits comically Forever living on the tin dollhouse he smirks as humans cram food in the large dining table once a display in a card shop wishing he could smack his belly with a paw he naps, his eyes open, intent on the final black olive.

She loved to eat; She thought food was neat. when not having a nap; There was always a full plate on her lap. She stuffed herself, and then got fat; Then realized, she couldn't live with that. Looking in the mirror, she said - no to large; For the first time in her life she decided to take charge.
