God's provisions...

I know I sound like a broken record, but I have always seen God provide for me in the most unusual ways, since I was 16 years old. I can tell you story after story, that would blow your mind. Anyway... Today... I was out and about, because I was hoping to find a winning lotto ticket, because I needed some gas and toilet paper...to get me through the next few days, until my SSI check comes in on the 1st of the month. I left and was out for a few hours, and found nothing. Having only one roll of toilet paper left, and 1/8th tank of gas, I was going home a little discouraged...but knew God always comes through for me. One thing I have learned... He will answer your prayer, but usually not exactly in the way you think. Because... I thought I would just go out to my usual places to find some winning tickets. I did find tickets, but there were no winners...at least as of yet. I decided to return home. While I was driving, it came to me to go by a Publix grocery store, I had went to earlier in the day, where I found no tickets, much less winners. I decided to enter the parking lot from the back of the store. When I parked my car, I noticed a lotto ticket lying on the ground. I got out and said to myself (this would be too cool if this was winner)...because it would be like God was just handing it to me. I did not see this ticket before, but it appeared to have been there a little while, because it had been run over several times by tires. When I turned it over...the first number I saw was the number 5 (my birth month), and immediately found a match. I chuckled...because it was a $10 scratch off. I had asked God if I could at least find $10...so I could get some toilet paper, and put the rest in the car for gas. I looked over the card to see if there were any more matching numbers and there were not... So I scratched the number to reveal how much I had found. And it was not for $10. It was for $30!!! God gave me $20 more than what I asked for... I used to keep all these things that God did for me to myself. But found that I was not honoring God, when I did...so now I want to tell the world. You may think I am weird for believing God like this... But it so exciting to see God work in my life in interesting ways. We often put God in a box, expecting Him to provide or answer our prayer, in the way we think He should. But if you will broaden your thinking, and allow God to be unique in your life...you will see blessings come your way...that you never have ever experienced before. You will see provisions made for you...that come from the most unlikely resources, or unique ways that He gives them to you! When people reject you, leave you, ignore you...it does not matter. It may hurt, and God will deal with them, in His own time. However... We have nothing to fear. God is teaching me that He has more caring compassion, and will provide for me in ways that are greater than any human being in my life ever will! He will be there, when noone else will. Yes... He wants us to have relationships, and will eventually heal the ones that are estranged...if both parties are willing. But...it will be is in His timing. Until then...I am learning more and more...that God will be there for me no matter what, and I don't have to worry about my needs not being met. It does not mean...things won't be hard or tough at times. I slept in my car for almost 2 years. It was very rough, lonely, and hard. But God got me through it... We may think that everything is fine, because we have a job, and that is usually the way God provides. But when that can't happen...we miss out on the wonders of our Lord, and the ways He can take care of us...if the only way we think God can provide for us is just through a job. His avenues of provisions is limitless, and unending! It surpasses our understanding! I hope that many of you will know God in the way I have learned to know Him...as my provider. You may have to go through some things first...so you can see how God can be there for you. If nothing goes wrong in your life...He as no reason to show you His provisions in the most profoundly, glorious ways, planned especially for you!

I have found money a couple of times over the years when I was broke. God does listen and helps us.

This is wonderful! I've been blessed in so many ways through my life from God and I've talked about them quite a bit. And even though I know the wonders that God can do, when a prayer is answered, it still surprises me!

It took many years, and a lot of rough roads. I am one who has always had trust issues, so for me to get to this point...has to only be God. Thanks for the compliment.
