Hello all - I have been sick with the worst case of bronchitis ever - going on two and a half weeks now. Every time I think I am getting better I end up relapsing again. Even after having nine straight days off to do nothing but rest. Getting frustrated. So - what are your remedies for bronchitis? I am wiling to try just about anything at this point, since everything I have tried thus far has done nothing. Help appreciated!

I know of one home remedy, don't know if you have tried it. You gotta mix half tsp ginger with half tsp of each pepper and cloves. Either mix it with honey and take it in whole, or boil it with tea. It will be strong but it is suppose to help you recover and reduce fever if you have it. Feel better.

I've had it for 2 1/2 months, so obviously I don't have any remedies. Sorry you're sick. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

OMG. I am sorry you have had it for so long. That is not good. And here I am complaining about just over two weeks. I will send positive energy for you to get better soon.

@beckish -- I wouldn't know what to do if I had it for less than three months. It's the combination of my allergies, asthma, and what we call "the Ohio Valley crud" that keeps it hanging on.

I had bronchitis when I was a kid, good thing they discovered it was from cat fur, never had it again and I am no longer allergic to cats. The doctors should identify the cause, if its viral, bacterial or irritants.

I wish I could give you a solution. When I have whooping cough I found fresh air helped a bit. Also have raised pillows. I am sorry you have been so sick and hope you recover soon.

It is at this point just a virus that my body needs to work out. My daughter had it for a month. I don't want to have it that long!

I am sorry you've been so ill. Have you seen a doctor? Maybe you need a course of antibiotics.

Thanks for the comment - just viral at this point so antibiotics won't do any good. I am keeping an eye out to make sure it doesn't turn into pneumonia though - that happened once about 25 years ago and was NOT fun!

@beckish My husband and I have both been immunised against pneumonia now. Vince had it several times some years ago and you're right - it's not fun.
