What happened to Nicolas Cage?

I used to like Nicolas Cage's movies. But nowadays, it seems his name is synonymous of poor performances. What has gone wrong?

Cage seems to crank out 10 bad movies a year. What happened was he got into financial trouble and bangs out these movies for a paycheck.

I like his acting ability too bad some producer didn't hire him for a good movie. Now I suspect his reputation has been tarnished.

@JohnRoberts There are plenty of those movies around now. It seems the fad was don't stress my brain just give me something to entertain me on a crazy zombie level. They did.

the story was not good......Nicolas Cage doesn't have to do anything with the bad stories...
