I Like When People Stand Up For People

Sure, all kinds of people stand up for people. I see a lot of people stand up for one another. The problem is they usually stand up for people who do not need standing up for. People stand up for the police all the time whether they are right or wrong. I would think a police person did not get to that point in life because they needed to be stood up for. Meaning, they should be fully capable of standing up for themselves on their own. Maybe when they were younger and did not know better. I could see someone standing up for them then. Maybe that helped them with their direction of becoming a police officer. Now, they are a veteran police officer and should not need spoken up for if they are doing what they are supposed to and society is doing what it is supposed to. The police officer example is just that, an example. Politicians stand up for the rich. The rich stand up for politicians. The miiddle class protects the middle class. The poor protects all of them because they just want in the game and kiss the wrong people's butt who had no intention of helping them. This to me, this is why this song makes sense about the youth that grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. People like to talk smack of why these troubled kids are the way they are. That they deserve their fate in life. When their fate was pretty much sealed from the get go by being born on the wrong side of the tracks. No one stands up for them, until now with a minscule few others that are brave enough.

I will not listen to the song, but there are always people who stand up for the right kind of people. There are always some people in the public transportation who will stand up when thereĀ“s an old person or a wpregnant woman. I do my bit there too as I have a loud voice. I thank the person and applaud his gesture. That makes a lot of people who were playing that they were asleep to wake up and leave their seats. It is a small thing, but we can all do our share and not wait for ALL the politicians or ALL the middle class to do something

I get what you are saying and glad those little things are still happening for the little people. I just think the powerful are getting out of hand in many areas and making the little niceties that people do obsolete and meaningless. Not to sound overly cynical, but humanity seems to be in a downward spiral at this moment in time. Am I wrong? Am I the only one seeing this?

@crossbones27 I agree. But it is in part because we have an attitude based on despair. We CAN do things!

I am glad you do buddy, but seems pretty far from meaningless looking how society is growing worse by the day. Sure over population has a lot to do with it, but in general people are become more rude and less caring about everything. It will all come to a head eventually and do hope people are paying attention to their surroudings the way animals do.

@crossbones27 I just don't believe it's as bad as all of that, there is still a lot of good in the world, people just focus on the negative too much and, should just stay away from it and, they will enjoy their lives. but I know some are stuck in bad situations, but they can still make it better, just got to have faith and, make good choices.

hmm..interesting point. Should we stand up for people who are capable of standing up for themselves? Perhaps we should all learn or teach people to stand up for themselves.... I do tend to stand up for people a lot. When i see someone is picking on someone else...my instinct is to help and protect. Maybe i should analyze the situation a little more before i do that.

That is a great point, sometimes people need to do a better job of standing up for themselves. I do think there is time when people are being bullied by a group and that is usually where some outside forces may be needed.

Well, you did not have to listen or comment if it did not interest you. It must have did something because you chose to comment anyway. I am always going to do my own thing and if people do not like it they can move on to something that does interest them.
