Soda or Pop?

I'm pretty sure this is just a region type of thing, but I may be wrong. Post where you live and which word you use. I've never heard anyone call it pop in California.

in the northeast, it's soda (when i lived in NJ and CT) in the midwest, it's pop (friends from MI and WI). in the deep south, it's Coke. As in: Would you like a coke? Sure, I'll have a sprite. (from living in Louisiana)
