I havent been in the Christmas spirit for the last few years since I live far away from my family but this year I decided to put that behind me and make the best of my christmas. This weekend we put our Christmas tree up and the christmas vibes instantly put me in a positive mood!
It took my wife and I about 3 hours to set everything up but it was totally worth it. One bottle of wine later and few mishaps but our tree is finally up and the kids arre loving it!

I'm glad that you're trying to get into the mood. Your tree looks nice. We're hoping to get our tree this weekend. It's something I look forward to. But we are slowly getting into the mood. We've watched a few Christmas movies over the weekend, which is nice.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Yeah, we have the two first Home Alones. We also have the Grinch, which we have watched with our kids. I like watching those. We have a few Christmas movies that we like watching every year.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Of course, Christmas is celebrated in Germany. Whyever not. Yet, Christmas trees and decorations in private homes are put up only one or two days before Christmas. Only outside in the city centre and in shops the decorations are already up. This is done to further business, of course.

Yeah I miss my Mom, Aunt, Sister, Grandmother, and cousins. I just have my wife and kids here and they are more than enough but I still miss the family gatherings

Yes as always, for me the spirit of Christmas must be always remembered its beacuse christmas is all about the gift of God which is Jesus Christ the savior. There is no reason to forget about it. For me i always feel the Christmas not because of the month, the decorations, and the gift, I always put God first in everything I do so Christmas sprit always remembered. Be happy always.
