The Day We Almost Had A Misadventure

So, one day me and my family were going to a hill station in summer vacations because it was very hot back home. So, we were making our way up the mountain when suddenly my dad realized that the car was almost out of fuel. We asked a some random person walking by that where was the nearest gas pump and he said it was right at the end of the hill. But little did we know that we were in for a nasty surprise. when we made it halfway through we saw that there was a traffic jam on the road(a narrow one) of at least 4 hours. We waited for two hours when my dad realized that the car was so much low on fuel that we couldn't even wait for more than one hour .We turned back and realized that there was a very narrow way for us to get out and on one side there were lots and lots pf cars and on the other side was a very deep fall. My dad was missing the deep fall by centimetres and one time , one tyre even skidded right on the slippery mud. I was so scared at that moment I wanted to get out of the car and run away. My brother on the other hand was just playing GTA on his iPad. After 15 minutes, narrowly avoiding falling in a steep edge and avoiding bumping into cars, we went to the gas station, got the fuel filled and rented a hotel room.
