Exhausted

Looking after my four year old Grandson is exhausting, but I need to be here in London at my.daughter's flat while she is ill I wrote about the chaos I left in my house in a previous post. Thankfully friends did rally round to sort my house, but the help was delayedd. Nobody could open the front door. It finally opened today. My daughter is not getting much better so I may be here a while I wish I has brought my laptop. Just now it us evening. Grabdsin is in bed and I miss the cat. Talking of cats. I found a black one following me earlier. It was most sociable and got into the lift in the flats with me. I wasn't sure if it should and went looking for the owner. It seems it lives in a flat on the first floor. Odd to have a cat in a flat that is not on the ground floor. I am.glad my cat lives in a house. It would hate lifts.

Cats are their own tribe. I was having a bit of a meltdown today and my friends' cat crawled into my lap for the entire visit. It was a good visit with friends—both types, furry and human. Even though I have two grown children, I cannot imagine taking care of a four-year-old. All that energy!

I spent weeks and weeks looking after my great nephew when my late niece was ill. I loved my time with him but it was exhausting! I hope your daughter is better soon.

So do I. It is not easy. She is very severely depressed.

@Jackalyn I am so sorry. My late niece had anxiety and depression after her son was born, but within a couple of months she was diagnosed with cancer. I can't help saying, I hope your daughter has been completely checked out physically. Take care; it is so hard. It is great you are there for your grandson.

So your cat goes down when it needs to poo? Anyway, I found out that cats are clever enough to do things.

Not my cat. It is not in my house but in the block of flats where my daughter lives.

I hope your daughter starts feeling better soon. It can be exhausting taking care of little ones who you are not use to it. It is good that you are there with them.

It seems there are a lot of cats in various places that never go out of the house. Hope your daughter recovers soon. She is lucky to have you to help out.
