Are You Afraid of Spiders? / myLot

I haven't seen a spider in my home for some time. I generally am not bothered by spiders. They aren't very large, and I usually dispose of them when they are on the wall or ceiling. However I would be much more fearful if I encountered a Black Widow or some other large spider. What about you? Are you afraid of spiders?

No, if I see it from a distance. But yes, if it touches me or aproaches me.

They may not be cute and cuddly, but I haven't heard of anyone seriously hurt by one.

I like Grandaddy Longlegs @zebra2222 but the rest, not so much. I have run into several Black Widows while under my house and trust me, as I retreated, my eyes were glued to them.

In a word yes. I have always feared Spiders and find them very creepy. I don't like the way they walk and fear being bitten by one.

I'm sure that I have been bitten by one at night, but not from a poisonous spider.

In fact I am not so afraid of spiders. However, if they are big and especially moving so fast, then I will be scared and run away.

I am not afraid of spiders and will squash them without hesitation. However, my granddaughter is afraid of spiders and will jump on her bed and yell if she spots one in her room

I know of a fictional cartoon character named Wordgirl who is scared of spiders. The show played on PBS Kids from 2007-2015. I am not really scared of spiders but I am scared of snakes.
