How safe is it to venture into the sea during cyclones?

Many tourists go to Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the winter season in December.
They swim in the Andaman Sea and Indian Ocean. Many people do snorkelling.
But this year for the last 3 days there had been storm and rain in Andaman. So how safe is it for the people to swim and venture into the sea when the weather is cyclonic?

It is not advisable for the tourists. But, for the natives everything will be ok

thanks Sivaji. For the native people there is no choice as such. they have to take shelter and avoid venturing near the sea.

Swimming! That's great. I like swimming, too, but I'm not a very good swimmer.
