Filipino adobo....

This is my son's favorite dish, most of the time this is what i cook for him to eat toomuch. He likes the fatty part of the pork specially with skin. He always look for skin and that's what he ask firt. I cook adobo with love that's is why my son like it too much. Filipino adobo Ingredients 2 tbsp oil for frying 1/2 tsp ground black pepper to taste 1 pc laurel leaf 2 tbsp onion, chopped 2 tbsp garlic, chopped 1 sachet seasoning (ajinomoto) (magic sarap) 1/4 cup SOY SAUCE 1/4 cup vinegar 1/2 kilo pork meat, cut into cubes Direction 1. In a pot, combine pork, vinegar, SOY SAUCE, seasoning, onion, garlic, laurel leaf and black pepper. 2. Cook uncovered until mixture boils. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain sauce and reserve for later use. 3. In large pan, heat oil. Pan-fry pork until golden brown, about 2 minutes each side. Pour in reserved sauce and simmer for 3 more minutes. and if you want to be a little bit sweet add 1 teaspoon of sugar much beeter if you use brown sugar. I have heard from the news that Magic Sarap was prohibited in the US. It is said that Magic Sarap causes Cancer.

I love my adobo in asin (salt rock) only , with lots of garlic. They like it that way too at home . Maybe it's because i don't make adobo in soy sauce as good as you , so i might as well try your recipe . The reserved sauce is the marinade ?

@deadreak yes they are filipino, I don't live next door to them any more, the mother passed, the dad passed and the daughter moved back home to the Philippines.They made up Lumpia too, , they were very nice neighbors

Wow that's special adobo. Adobo for me is very easy to do but can be hard at times you need to balance the soy sauce and the vinegar. You can be an expert when it comes to adobo

I change it into seasoning, The alternative is ajinomoto.
