I Have To Bribe My Husband

It will be our Christmas party on the 15th . For sure , it will last until past midnight because it will be starting at 7:00 p.m.
So , last Sunday night , I requested my husband to fetch me with the car at about 11:00 p.m. after our party on the 15th .
He told me , “just hitch with your officemates who have a car because I am already sleeping by then . “ But I told him , “good if they will be going home early like me “ .
To motivate him , I said “ We will eat out “ . He joked “ for congee ?” , which was what we ate after he fetched me from the party last year . But it was his request then . 
“ What do you like “ I asked . And he said “crispy pata “ (crispy leg of a pork ) .
Thus , he will fetch me after the party on the 15th !

It is amusing that you will have to bribe your hubby to fetch your from a party to be held on 15th.
On any such occasion I do not get such bribes from my wife.

@SIMPLYD - I appreciate your idea. It is way to bond with each other and these kinds of gestures make each other happy. If you are also craving for congee, that way you will kill two birds with one stone. You will not only get to eat yourself but you will oblige your hubby also.

You know , that one of those ways on how to make our loving to one another . We would say it through a joke .
But anyway , i don't really mind because i am craving for that too since , we rarely order that when we eat out . Besides , it will be bonding time for us .

It's an office Christmas party where employees are the only invited ones . So , i have to ask him to wake up late at night to fetch me from the party .
But anyway , i don't mind , because i like to eat that too . We seldom order that that's why because it's cholesterol laden .

@HAPPSINGH When we had Christmas party in our office, our spouses and children were invited. In fact, when most of the employees' children were still kids, our office gave a separate children's Christmas party for them in the afternoon and the adults had their party in the evening.

That's our way of loving , my dear friend. We would joke that i want to eat this and that , so the other party should give a treat to the one craving , Sometimes , he would joke , " let's go , your treat " .
Anyway , i am also craving for it actually . It's rare we order that when we go out because you know . .

@sunrisefan We don't do that . The budget of the office are for the employees only . We are about 58 employees plus we have to include the guards and the utility personnel .

I readily agreed to his request lest he won't fetch me but let me just hitch with any officemate with a car .
But you know i love that too because we will get to bond , just the two of us not with the other members of his family .

That's good that he is so protective of you . 
My hubby based it on past experiences when i don't let him fetch anymore because the company car sends off the employees , which is not the case now , so i request for him to fetch me .
Though , that's okay because we also get to bond by ourselves only , after the party .

Actually , if i only know how to drive , i won't let him fetch me but i would just take the car with me . Though , it is a win-win situation besides , i also crave for crispy pata already too .

When me and my husband are both working, but different company, my husband usually fetched me, no matter what time is it. I just remember, we had a Christmas party. I told him, don't bother to fetch me. The party will end at 3am. Exactly 3am I guess, he's already there to fetch me.

I call it, if you'll scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Sometimes husbands can use some "positive reinforcement" to encourage them to fall in line with our plans.

Whenever i want to visit and stay at my parents' place have to bribe my husband.
For pick and drop or anywhere i wish to go, he never let me go alone though i know driving.

I also do that too , but it's more or less a request from him whenever i visit my parents without him on some Saturdays . He would always request to bring with me ":pancit' (stir fried noodles) that my sister cooks for their snack house . Though , i commute on those days because he has work .
But had i known how to drive , i will drive the car myself .
