I Bought It!

Some of you know how hard life has been around here the last few months, sickness and the car breaking down, well today I had the opportunity to stop this cycle of dome. A friend told me about her friend having a car for sale and it was only driven to work and back home, only one driver and they bought it new. It does have 150,000 but its a 2011 Kia Soul. I test drove it and I loved it. After driving a roomy car for 10 years and then driving a 5 speed small car I felt cramped up, plus I am lazy I want an automatic. I bought the car for 2,900. Yes it has miles but I did my homework and a car lot would sell it for 5,000 to 8,000! I am happy and I say Merry Christmas to me and Tony, I wont feel like I will be riding on a prayer anymore.

Cars nowadays can easily go 200,000-300,000 miles or more before they start to become problems. As long as the car was well cared for (routine oil changes, etc,) then you should still get a lot of life out of it!

@andriaperry I had a Jeep CJ7 for over 20 years, and it had 316,000 miles on it when I sold it. I barely ever had to do any maintenance on it other than routine maintenance (oil changes, break pads, etc.). When I sold the Jeep, it still ran as good as the day I bought it, and the engine still purred like a kitten. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy I sold it to is still driving it around, even though it's been 10 years since I sold it to him.

Good for you! We have bought a new (to us) car which has lots of miles too but it hasn't been off-road (it's a 4WD) and we know and trust the previous owner.
