I was scanning CNN a few minutes ago and saw that Alan Thicke who played the father on the eighties sitcom Growing Pains has passed away. Not only is he known for his work as Jason Seaver on the show, he is also the real life father of singer Robin Thicke. His most recent acting appearances included being on the reboot of fellow eighties sitcom Full House called Fuller House. His last tweets were about how much fun he had working on the show. There has not been much information about his death or what caused it, but it does come as a surprise to people he worked with and close friends. Rest in peace Alan Thicke.
