Why are some people so rude?

I am working in an IT company and I can say a coworker of mine is rude, straight out. He is a senior in my team and has 17 years of working experience and whenever we ask him about how to execute a certain solution, he will barely explain about it and leave rude remarks after explaining I mean he doesn't even tell us how to execute a certain solution but just provides abstract info/concept on how to do it. I would appreciate it if he'll just say "No, I do not know how to do this." instead of creating some more drama which just came from a very simple question in the first place. I don't get why some people think so big of themselves, is respect really that hard to give?

I think their experienc ein life. money and other factors make them rude.

I usually don't like such people and yes it is becoming hard to earn respect these days :)

i think some people are afraid to reveal there are things they don't know. i also think some don't want to share what they know because they learned it by themselves/didn't get help from anybody.

Good topic I don`t like people with attitude.If you have knowledge,explain quietly, but don`t treat people with arrogance.I try to avoid such people, working from home
