Cold Crisp Day

The sky is blue today, no cloud in sight. You might think that is a lovely day, and it is if you're on the inside looking out. However, here it means the temp is a -3 with bone chilling wind chill of -21.
I need to go start my car in a couple minutes so I won't freeze going to church. I'm layered with thermals on so hopefully it won't be too bad.
The Packers are playing at noon in Chicago and it's just as cold there as it is here. It's going to be a very cold game today.

I was nice and warm going to church this morning. Probably due to having to brush off the car, seen on your previous comment, which took a lot longer than I expected. I looked for the total we got yesterday and we came in at just over 5 inches, but it looked like a lot more than that.

@just4him .....At least you are still above zero. The weatherman said tonight that we just have a series of storms coming in every three days and that will continue indefinitely.

@celticeagle We have some snow in a couple days, then Sunday, Christmas day we have a snow/ice storm coming our way. That's one I don't want to see. I'm glad church is on Saturday.

we got down to yer lovely temps here last night. today we fared a tad better 'n tomorrow's lookin' e'en more promisin'.
i hope ya made 't alright to church, hon. so many folks don't seem to know how to drive'n that sorta schtuff...'r jest don't care coz they're'n a hurry.

Despite how much snow I had to brush off the car, I got there on time. The roads were in very good shape because the city kept plowing last night. So it was all good. Temps are really going down tonight. I have a picture here in comments of my car before I started the brush off.

Its very mild here in fredricksburg. ..we went out for a walk this afternoon and it was a balmy 61°f but has dropped to 41 now...bug it is midnight lol... take care out and about in all that snow...

They say it may be the coldest football day ever at Soldier Field. Here, it's exactly the same, except California Style. Not a cloud in the sky--beautiful. And "bone-chilling cold," which in the Bay Area means it reached 29 F last night and is only around 40 F now. I did bring my tomatoes and favorite succulents in last night.

I'm sure they appreciated that. That is cold for California. They did say it was the either the coldest or close to the coldest for Soldier Field. I think our Ice Bowl was still the coldest game in football history. Green Bay did manage to pull off a win, but it was close.
