A chronology of events since October 19th, the wrath of the super-typhoon Lawin: October 19th was my check-up with my cardiologist, that we had to "keep our feet on the ground" so we won't be blown away with the strong winds. Then we were left with practically nothing- no water supply, electricity, phone lines. But we are happy we survived the wrath. We are alive. A week later, water supply was restored. We had to let the generator be fixed after a week too(we had to queue for that), and so we had power though temporary; it was expensive too because the premium gasoline is bought every afternoon. A day before my birthday, power was back (that was November). We had to content ourselves with the free data mode of FB so we can read what is new in this world. Nearly 2 months and 1 day, phone is restored. WiFi back, and now, I am here logging in. "ALL SYSTEMS GO" How is everybody?

Gosh. You have certainly had a time of it. Losing power and utilities must have been very challenging. I am glad you are able to resume sime kind of normality now and are safe.

yes, thanks to those who helped in the restoration of these basic services. we were so blind with the latest news, until the cable people fixed our lines.

although i felt so weak when power was not yet restored, the main reason why i was out was due to the typhoon.now,we can switch on the fan when it is so hot.

@SIMPLYD my son ask me why we Pinoys prefer to have noodles or pasta when we have our birthdays, and i often tell him that it is our tradition, and custom as well, that is carried from generation to generation, although i think this custom is from the Chinese ancestry. pansit is long life.

Oh, no wonder you were gone for a while now. I was sure you were busy with your duties, didn't realize it was a lot worst. Yeah, I had no internet for two weeks and it already drove me nuts. Glad to have you back

hmm, nice avatar, hijo. "ikaw ba yan?" (is that you?) 2 weeks is just a small time, unlike us here--2 months and 1 day. hahaha!

i super-missed this site, my dear, and all you my friends. it was because of the super typhoon that separated us from the rest of the world. practically, we were isolated. it was my first time to experience that event.

it was a 'force majeure' with the typhoon, my dear; the rest should be up to the agencies responsible for us consumers, but i think there were so many who wanted the services immediately delivered. many electric cooperatives from different regions, even in the place where our president is from, came here to assist our cooperative.
