As the name implies, honeycomb has something to do with bees' activity that is to create a six-sided cells in the structure, where produced honey is stored. However, in engineering terminology honeycombing is something of a defect, usually in concrete walls or asphalted roads. We often hear cracks and honeycombing that occurred due to low quality of construction.
