Today the Kids in my colony celebrated a small Christmas party. It was fun for all. As you all know we are Hindu and don't celebrate Christmas this small efforts on kids part was commendable. The kid on the left is my son

Hi is a cutie. It's nice for the kinds to have fun memories. Here Hindus celebrate Christmas as a season of festivity...ours is a cosmopolitan country, so we all celebrate each other cultures. The lines have blurred so cultures overlap.

Your son is so handsome! I want to pinch his cheeks. Lol! How old is he? I don't celebrate Christmas either. I'm Jewish.

@amitkokiladitya That's a great age! Our main holidays are Rosh Hashona, the Jewish New Year which ends 8 days later on Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, when we fast for 24 hours. There are other important and not so important holidays and celebrations, too.

Children enjoy all the festivals and their excitement makes the festivals special, even if we don't celebrate them personally. Your son is very cute!

@amitkokiladitya I love the lights, decor and joy that christmas brings. I have been visiting church on christmas for years now, it gets a lot of positive energy with it! Jingle bells!

Christmas is an occasion where everyone gets in the mood for celebration regardless of their religion just as it happens with Diwali.

I think it is wonderful the children celebrated with a Christmas party. There truly are two Christmases in our modern world. There is the religious Christmas celebrated by Christians, and the secular Christmas - the one with Santa Claus, reindeer, trees, and stockings - that can be celebrated by everyone.
