I do about 20 - 30 mystery shops per month. I would do more, but I have to schedule them around my job. I really enjoy it as there is such a variety of work. Go to the mystery shop forum and scroll down to find a list of legitimate companies. I am signed up with over 100 companies but work consistently for about 20. Some companies only have one client around me, so that is the reason to be signed up with a lot of companies. If I am leaving my house, I am looking for a mystery shop to do along the way.

@jenleecarley88 Many jobs pay about $15. The restaurant jobs around here only reimburse the meal. Some jobs pay more, such as getting reimbursed for an oil change for the car. Or being reimbursed $20 worth of gasoline.
So, I only do jobs that are on my way to where I am going anyway, or I do several on one trip to make the drive worth it.

I have not done it in years, but there are legitimate sites. Search for mystery shopping sites online. A lot of them have changed names from when I worked for them. Any site that wants you to pay for a list is not legitimate, and you need to be wary of places that send you huge checks and want you to wire money back to them as those are scams that can get you in deep financial trouble.

It's where you go under cover as a customer at a restaurant, car dealership, stores etc. you tell the company you work for your shopping experience and then you get paid for it.
