A Merry Christmas begins with a dogs cold nose

When our sons were little, we had a strict Not Before 6am wake up time on Christmas morning before we'd let them come downstairs to see what Santa had brought them. The wait added to the excitement and anticipation.
Now that our boys are grown, Christmas morning doesn't usually get started until at least 8 or so. Except for the dogs. Just after 6 this morning I was awakened by a cold nose nudging me, letting me know someone was up and ready for first potties and breakfast.
So here I am, alone but for the dogs, waiting for them to finish breakfast. Once they have, I plan to go back to bed. But I wanted to use this time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

I miss those cold noses. I also remember the anticipation from growing up and my kids as well. It amazes me that you can't get them up early on any other day of the year except Christmas. Now my Christmas starts a lot later as well. I miss those days.
Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas, my boys thought they would be plowing today so we had Christmas last night. They live a fair bit away and they just left to see if the snow will drop up north and give them something to do...

@DWDavis You just gave me another story for myLot by putting that eh in your sentence. Brought back a really strange memory. Thank you and I'll credit it to you too... We did have a wonderful time, by having it on Saturday it worked for everyone, including my youngest son who went to the in-laws on Sunday - Usually that day is shared with both...

Merry Christmas.
I will be off to bed myself as festivities won't begin until atleast after lunch. I'll be awoken if I am not already, so that I can join in.
I was awoken Christmas eve by a cold dog nose, I was spending the night with my best friend and she has several poches.
