Celebrating Christmas in another way and in another country

Every Christmas, as someone from a Christian family, I would always celebrate it with my family in our hometown, play lots of games, put a lot of food on the dining table, and pray. But working abroad for the first time in a non-Christian country with my boyfriend (although people know how to have fun on Christmas), I started to feel depressed. Our co-workers went to work on Christmas which was so sad for me. I thought this was the first time I would be depressed on Christmas. But we turned it into something positive. We went out on Christmas eve with, strolled around, ate ramen....went back home..woke up on Christmas day...went cafe hunting...ate a lot of sweets....went back home and suddenly decided to order pizza, watch Home Alone movies...and it it turned out so fun. I didn't expect to be celebrating Christmas this way. I feel happy that i wanna share. How are you celebrating your Christmas? :)

I could understand your post better if you told us which is your home country and where you stayed for Christmas.

@strawberry8 Writing about places without mentioning where on the globe they are is a bad habit on this site. You're not the only one who likes being mysterious.

@MALUSE i understand your point. it's just the idea, really. you can try imagining all the things i've written, and have a general idea about it. anyway, thank you for your feedback. i'll remember them each time.
