Most of your life is spent being around your family, or those who take care of you. But how well do you really know your family. Sure families spend time together to listen and talk about news of the world and things that happened at work. However do we often find ourselves stopping to ask our love ones what their life was before us or about their personal feelings or what may be going through their minds. No.
For most people we like to live in the present and ignore the past and future, especially with loved ones. Sure they tell us some great stories about their life before us, but we never truly know what their life was before us and we never truly get to know our family members or the person their are. We only come into this realization before the clock runs out.
We also must take the time out of our busy lives to understand the feelings of our loved ones. I feel this personally because i believe that my parents never really care about my mental health, however i want to get the message across to people that everyone needs to be listened to or someone who is willing to help speak for them.

I have a very open family. We talk about everything from everyone's life. My parents have always been open about their past with us and we are pretty open with them. My sister and I tell each other everything. She may be older than me but I am the voice of reason out of us too so she comes to me a lot for advice on everything.

I'd like to say very well. We've always been very open to each other, and I personally don't feel awkward or uncomfortable sharing a lot of things with my family members. I'm sorry to hear about your parents, do you talk to them often?
