Looking Forward to a Better Year, Next Year

Hi everyone and hope you all enjoyed your Christmas or weekend, anyway, if you don't observe Christmas. Now we're facing a brand New Year next year and I do hope it is better than this last one.
Good things: A successful hip operation
Healthy family members
Got lots of writing done
Met new myLotters
Bad things: An Uncle, and two sister-in-laws passed away. So not a great year all-in-all. This year- I want everyone to remain happy and healthy. Was 2016 a good year for you?

It wasn't a great year but it wasn't our worst either. Plenty of things to be grateful for. =)

2016 is quite a good year. Nothing so bad happens. It's the fastest year for me. Days come so fast. I'm excited for the New Year hoping for exciting things to happen this year

I am looking forward to a much better year next year. I lost three uncles and my father in 2016, all within a span of five days.

@MarymargII Thank you. It was tough. I was also suffering from a bad outbreak of Shingles at the time it happened. It really was a bad year for me! Let's hope we all have an amazing 2017!

@moffittjc And you're not the only one experiencing a bad year last year- sorry about the shingles- that is a painful condition for sure. Take L'Lysine daily and it can help prevent it and cold sores,etc. Hope next year is the very best for you!

2016 was a good year....I'm still here, aren't I?......2017 promises to be another busy year. One of my grandsons starts university in September another will be travelling to Pasadena,California at the end of 2017 to ring in the new year (2018) by marching in the Tournament of Roses parade.

@MarymargII my big plan? This coming year I hope to be able to enjoy my 'retirement ' a little more.
This week I don't feel quite so retired. The four year old was supposed to come two days while her day care is closed. Instead she has a rash (chicken pox?) so no day care.....grandma gets her every day

@Morleyhunt I have my granddaughter once to twice per week, to cut down on my daughter's expenses at daycare and we love to have her but oh, yes, it's a day devoted to her and not much else---ha!

I think it was a pretty good year, we really got into exercise and making ourselves healthier. No big things happened in the immediate family my mom is doing well for 101.

@MarymargII She is physically very strong even though tiny but her mind is not as it should be, she has dementia and sometimes doesn't know me.

2016 had it's ups and downs for me but I'm hoping for a much better 2017. Sorry to hear that you lost an uncle and 2 sisters in law this year. My mom passed too which made this a difficult year for me

We've had a mix of joy and sorrow. Our son became engaged. His fiancée received a dream job. He received a huge raise. My grandkids won all types of awards, even one personally signed by Obama. The sorrowful ones were the passing of my husband's brother and my hubby's surgery. Looking forward to a better year.

Good & bad.
Good things that happened during the year:
Good health of my parents, siblings, nephew and nieces.
Improving career
Bad thing: My uncle (mom's brother) passed away.

2016 had it share of both good and bad. Im hoping 2017 will be more good we will be moving into a new house in Feburary so Im looking forward to that.
