What a week!

It's Christmas season but what a week it is! First, George Michael died. Then, Carrie Fisher of Star Wars passed away too. Now, as I read the news online, I found out that Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher's mother, also passed away. It's Christmas season but it seems it's a season of dying too. For the past years now, I've observed that many people die during these holidays due to stroke or heart attack. Because of the holiday celebrations, people tend to eat more of fatty foods that they are supposed to avoid for health reasons. I still remember 2 years ago when the son of our former security guard came home for the holidays and they were celebrating on the first day of the year - the father suddenly collapsed due to a massive stroke and when they brought him to the hospital, he was dead on arrival. Merry-making turned to grief.

So many celebrities and people are passing away. You may be right due to the holidays, the foods we may be eating aren't good for some peoples health.

For several years now, that has been my observation - people dying of stroke or heart attack in the midst of merry-making.

2016 sure took away a lot of famous people! I was deeply saddened when I heard about Carrie Fisher passing away.

I suppose it's not surprising that more people die at this time of year - all that excitement and over-eating and drinking. Sad though.
