Today I meet some real A holes, and I do not call people that unless they take the cake and smash it on the ground when you ask for a slice. A couple of weeks ago my patient got a script for a hospital bed, if they need one get it the doc said. So I dropped it off at the medical supply they always use Last week the man came out to set it up but before he got all of it in the house The patient notice how used it was, the metal bed had dents and the mattress was already bent into the sitting position as a person would do it. So my patient asked " how many people has used this?" He said "not many and if the mattress is reused then we change the plastic cover." Then it was asked " how many people died on that mattress and then it was recovered?" He said "probably not any." My patient refused this bed and sent it back. Today while I was at work thy asked me to take them to the medical supply to get the prescription back, they called and it was waiting on them. I went in and it was not there so they called the other store, it was there so she faxed it even though I asked for the original, knowing you have to have the REAL one to get a bed elsewhere. I took them to the other store and I went in and asked for the real script, she told me " when we fax it and its received, we shred the original." I was so mad. I told her I would have to call their insurance now to make sure it would not be charged and walked out. That BUMP did not stop me I went to their doctor office, told the receptionist the problem, within two hours she had me a new prescription for their bed. I am pretty sure they THOUGHT they stopped me!

I am glad you were able to have the original prescription, I would have been surely upset not to have a new bed.

@andriaperry Your patient was right, if the insurance pays for a "NEW" bed, they must provide one.

The guy said " The insurance will cover this bed but when my patient asked again how many had used it he said "a hospital bed cost $1500 new." My patient said and that is NOT new,

I bet they sent in a bill for that bed. You should get a new bed not one that was used by someone else. That is just gross/.
