Excuse Me While I Cry

Today has been a very nostalgic day. I have submerged my self into the wonderful world of music.
I went from classic, to jazz, to blues, to rock and roll, to instrumental pieces from trumpet to saxophone. And I forget some of course.
Oh boy, what a day! I went from all kinds of emotions and right now I need to cry listening to Oh My Papa: it just brings back so many wonderful memories of my Dad.
Eddie Calvert - Oh Mein Papa
I bought the '78' around 1954 and liked it so much I bought the trumpet! This video is for my son and daughter to remember me by when I've gone!

I heard that one many times back when. I expected it to be Eddie Fisher. Music can really affect our emotions I know. It is good to remember.

I know what you mean about crying. There are several songs that make me cry as well. Each and every time no matter how many times I hear it.

@fishtiger58, I don't know why but some Italian music and songs do that to me a lot.

@fishtiger58 Sometimes it is embarassing in an Italian restaurant as I feel like crying and have to restrain myself.

@marlina that's right. She has a right to feeling like crying especially when she is in her own home.

What is it about music that takes us back to so many memories? It is sad but also we get to dig up so much nostalgia.

Om my, that song is so sentimental, I heard it when I was young. I saw my sisters cried for fear of some unknowns.Very nice of you music lover you might also be a great singer during your time.

Hmmm. I actually hooked a youtube video to a blog and it was sentimental journey by Ella Fitzgerald I must have lived another life back then because I love all those great songs.
