Today has been a very nostalgic day. I have submerged my self into the wonderful world of music. I went from classic, to jazz, to blues, to rock and roll, to instrumental pieces from trumpet to saxophone. And I forget some of course. Oh boy, what a day! I went from all kinds of emotions and right now I need to cry listening to Oh My Papa: it just brings back so many wonderful memories of my Dad. Eddie Calvert - Oh Mein Papa
I bought the '78' around 1954 and liked it so much I bought the trumpet! This video is for my son and daughter to remember me by when I've gone!

I heard that one many times back when. I expected it to be Eddie Fisher. Music can really affect our emotions I know. It is good to remember.

I think that the bond between a daughter and her Dad is one of the tightest in the world. You have every right to stop and remember him, and shed a tear or two.

I know what you mean about crying. There are several songs that make me cry as well. Each and every time no matter how many times I hear it.

@fishtiger58, I don't know why but some Italian music and songs do that to me a lot.

@fishtiger58 Sometimes it is embarassing in an Italian restaurant as I feel like crying and have to restrain myself.

Hopefully nobody comes to ring the bell when you are letting go of your emotions. It will be extremely embarrassing to have someone at the door to deliver something while you are crying your heart out.
