Chicken burger for 0.99 € cents only?

I went shopping today and I started searching for some easy to make meals when I saw 3 pieces of packed chicken burger that you heat in the oven and they costed only 0.99€cens That is too cheap for a 3 relatively big pieces of chicken. What is their profit if they sell it that cheap? It made me wonder if that is chicken's meat or something else. And if it is, of which part of chicken is this made to be so cheap? I am not going to eat that. After one minute of thinking it through, I put the chicken burger back on the shelf. Would you buy something suspiciously cheap?

Is it a new product? Or on sale? I do get skeptical if its that cheap but if its a new brand and it regularly retails for more then that'd be ok =)

I never shopped there before so I wouldn't know if it's new of not. I haven't seen any on sale label on it either. I forgot to mention the bread and the cheese. That should count in the price too.

@Madshadi Yeah that's really cheap, I'm assuming it's a new brand for that cost.

Honestly , I wouldn't either ! Unless they were on a sale But , the chicken meat being 0.99 cents is way too suspicious.

Maybe they got a good deal on chicken meat. I would suss it out carefully but I might buy it if I couldn't find anything strange about it.

usually such clearance type prices mean they need to get rid of it because of expiry dates or quality issues. I also avoid products that are too cheap...especially when it comes to food.

That makes sense. I haven't thought of that.
