New Year, New Plans

How's your New Year celebration? Hope it was wonderful. Now, the third day of the new year, many people posted about having some "hangover" due to the long holiday vacation. Many spent a lot, ate a lot, forgot their diet plans. So this early part of January, many people promised to themselves to make up whatever they lost; or indulged so much (like food) during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. This morning, I realized I really needed to bike and walk again to at least lose some pounds I gained during those numerous reunions we had, where food was always the center of the celebration! At least I made a good start. How about you? What are your plans this new year?

I need to get out more. Now that I am finally over my depression I will be a bit more active. I also plan to keep up with my youtube channel. I want to do that so badly.

It is always the start of something new, or the continuance of good things we did during the past year(s).

On the first day of the year, I made a vision board of what I intend to happen this 2017 and I am committed to doing that. On the second day of the year, I went hiking up on a mountain. On the third day of the year, which is today, I'm suffering from thigh muscle pain...but still intend to make things happen! Happy new year!

We are on our way to Florida but I weighed myself before I left and I didn't gain any weight over the Christmas holiday.

That's good, you enjoyed the holidays without gaining weight. Congrats for that.

I tried hard not to over eat but I think I might have gained a few pounds. Celebrating anything always seems to involved food, doesn't it?

@acelawrites No, many Western countries celebrate anything worth celebrating with a meal or food and drink.

Yes, I just wonder if it is just us Filipinos who celebrate occasions with food as the center! Maybe just a way of expressing gratitude for the blessings.
