The Annie Book - Moving Day is getting much closer- and closer- and closer. Going over all of the stuff accumulated during the more than 30 years here, I came upon a CD packet that sported a photo copy of our oldest daughter on her fifth birthday - The CD I had given the title, "The Annie Book." Thinking back about this CD, I remembered that the video it contained was probably the very first one that I had ever attempted. Actually, the "video" was put together as a film strip from some photos of the kid's fifth birthday on a nice, hot August day when we lived in San Antonio, Texas. She had lots of fun in her little plastic swimming pool, watching Mama make a tasty birthday cake, and then, of course, getting to eat some cake and ice cream. The computer program used to construct the CD, as I recollect, was called "Cam Studio," and I believe that you can still download a copy of that program from "SourceForge.net" - maybe yes and maybe no. ("PhotoStory" will do just as well and is readily available.) I thought that this ancient CD might make a presentation of how things were with imaging a time or two ago. Annie has had more birthdays since the one shown on the CD. In fact, she is ready, willing, and able to get onto "Social Security" at any moment now. Yes - lot of birthdays since The Annie Book. How nice that you were able to do a video of Annie. I haven't time to explore your link at the moment - is it the video you made? I'll look later.

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Yes. As I recall, this was the first "still video" that I ever made. I actually constructed the video many years after those pix were put through the camera. The kid was 5 and is now into here 60's. -Gus-

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - Really old pix, those. I think I put the film strip together back around 2011 or 2012. The pix themselves are from a little box camera, so they are all not very sharply focused. -Gus-

@Ceerios, after reading your post only a dad can say the words I read. It was refreshing to hear a dad have a love like that for a child. I inspires me to appreciate where I am in life with my children. Have a great move in this new season of life.

@SDM1984 - Sernetta - That was not only the first "video" for me, but Annie was then our only child. The next one showed up after another 9 years.Thank you for your comment here and for your kind wishes for a great move forthcoming. -Gus-

@DWDavis - Brother DW - It may be the only benefit from having to move residences - You find stuff stored away that you forgot that you had stuck away someplace. -Gus-

How great to have this record of Annie's birthday. I presume she has a copy?
